5 Easy Ways to Develop Your Combined Martial Arts Training

By: Julian O. Lee

Have you started mixed martial arts training but sense like you aren't getting the results you wish? Are you getting sick of being kicked up in sparring matches and fight to make it through each round? Use my 5 simple options to enhance your mixed martial arts training and you will see results fast.

1. Vary your approach -Don't do it too frequent but make sure to alter the exercises you do within workouts and when such workouts happen every 4 to 6 weeks. The organism is a great machine that adjusts to situations so repeating the same workout too much will provoke your development to slow down, plateau and even decrease. So combine it!

2. Take part in sparring matches as much as possible and make a lesson out of it -Your mixed martial arts training which you may learn by martial arts video training will likely include a lot of sparring within your classes already but you could still do more. Meet up with 2 other like minded persons, get one man to referee while the other two spar. It's unlikely you have a cage at home but be sure you have a secure surface to spar on, carpet isn't an appropriate thought! Review your sparring matches and look at what went well and more importantly where you went wrong. Use this knowledge to improve your skills.

3. Organize your workouts right - performing the necessary efforts at the right time is vital to increase efficiency. The order in which things should be performed in a workout is as follows:
warm up (including dynamic stretches), Technical drills, Speed drills, Strength Drills, Endurance and finally a cool down with relaxed stretches.

You must only have every aspect in a workout 2 to 3 times a week checking you have at least 48 hours in between. Make sure you rest adequately to evade over training. Have at least one day a week where you do not train with the help of martial art training videos or you do certain gentle exercise for example walking.

4. Look at other forms for inspiration -You shouldn't go to classes in other forms to grab inspiration. Look at articles online, mixed martial arts training videos and magazines to see if there are any moves you can take into your instructor to see if they are familiar with it and see if it's useful.

5. Make sure you eat right - This is quite vital, if your organism isn't receiving the fuel it requires you won't be at your peak. Plenty of complex carbohydrates, lean protein, fruit and vegetables and some types of fats are demanded to have your body healthy and topped up with the stuff it needs. A good sign of a healthy meal is how colorful a plate is. Keep in ind you have to eat lean to be mean.
