5 Interesting Historical Facts about Whirlpool Baths

The whirlpool baths is owned by Whirlpool Corporation which is a "Fortune 500" company located in the Benton Charter Town of Michigan, USA. When the product was introduced to the global market, the company eventually gained annual sales worth 20 billion dollars in just a short time. Whirlpool had an average number of 70,000 employees during its first year as a Fortune 500 company in Michigan. More than 70 technological centers around the world produce whirlpool baths annually. In March 2006, Whirlpool Corporation was labeled as the biggest home appliance company in the world. During the same month and year, the baths produced by Whirlpool became more sellable than its rival home appliance company "Electrolux".
The first whirlpool baths were invented during the year 1911. A group of home appliance professionals named Emory, Frederick and Louis Upton established the "Upton Machine Company". The Upton siblings started working on motor-driven washers and other materials for production of electrical baths. Frederick Upton ordered about 100 machines from The Federal Electric Company but his brother Louis instantaneously decided to replace the machines due to insufficient transmission of the machine gear. The "Sears, Robuck & Company" started selling the baths and other home machines produced by the Upton machine company through the "Allen" brand. The Upton company merged with the "Nineteen Hundred Washer Company" in New York City during the late 1920's. In 1929, the 1900 Washer Company was already named as "Nineteen Hundred Corporation" and began negotiating with affiliate companies in producing baths before World War I.
In 1946, the Nineteen Hundred Corporation began to expand their sales by manufacturing additional baths and other home appliances for the Canadian home appliance industry, "John Inglis & Company". In 1949 up to early 1950's, the first automatic washer for bath and other basic home necessities were sold worldwide under the "Sears Sale" brand. In 1950, Nineteen Hundred Corporation was finally renamed as "Whirlpool Corporation".
In 1951, the Whirlpool corporation's charitable arm called the "Whirlpool Foundation" was founded. The foundation aims to promote consumer values in purchasing and using whirlpool baths among western and some European countries as well. In 1955, the "Seeger Refrigerator Company" adapted the production of baths. The first group of baths was manufactured under the Seeger Company when Whirlpool Corporation was named as "Whirlpool-Seeger Corporation".
In 1991, Whirlpool Corporation introduced the use of baths around the world. During the same year, the company launched the "Whirlpool International" by purchasing a 47% stake from the other home appliance company "Philip's". In 1997, a worldwide leading manufacturer of refrigeration compressors from Brazil called "Embraco" acquired a 47% stake from Whirlpool Corporation. In 2000, top Brazilian home appliance company "Multibras" adapted the production of baths from Whirlpool under the "Consul" and "Brastemp" brand. In 2006, Whirlpool Corporation acquired a 50% stake from the independent home appliance industry, "Maytag Corporation".
