Affordable Total fitness training Exercises

By: Mike Davis

A lot of people think that the only way they can manage a good total fitness training regimen is if they can afford expensive equipment or at the very least have a gym membership. This isn't necessarily true, take a look at our hunter-gatherer ancestors; they are extremely fit even though treadmills and other equipment haven't been invented yet.
First off is walking. Walking is a simple and fun way to burn off your excess fat. It's also a great activity that will let you go out and enjoy the outdoors and socialize with other people. Walking is a perfect exercise for people who have been sidelined for a long time due to injuries or sickness. It is a good idea to invest in a comfortable pair of shoes for when you go out walking, just remember that your shoes should match the terrain you're walking on.
You should try running if you want to get the same benefits as walking but at a fraction of the time. Running is a very popular sport, with competitions that range from 5k, 10k up to a full marathon that can be as long as 42k. And because running is a more intense sport than just walking, it burns up more calories thus making you lose weight faster.
The only equipment you need for running is a good pair of running shoes and a safe predetermined running route. It is recommended that you get a gait analysis performed before you purchase your shoes. This is recommended because people have different running styles, so you need shoes that are appropriate to your style of running to avoid getting injured. Mapping out a running course is as easy as logging onto the internet and looking over your area's vicinity maps.
As with other forms of exercise, running should be gradually built-up. Forcing yourself to run a great distance right of the bat will only end up hurting you.
Swimming is another exercise you can use for your total fitness training regimen. Swimming is a great exercise especially for people who are recovering from injuries as the water takes off most of your body's weight thus reducing the strain. Not only does swimming help strengthen your muscles, it also greatly improves your cardiovascular health and increases your lung capacity. And because both your arms and legs are utilized while swimming, you're getting a full body workout. No wonder professional swimmers all have a nice well-defined physique.
Swimming just needs the absolute barest of equipments, just a good bathing suit. And as for the pool, you can always go to your local swimming pool whenever there aren't a lot of people, and if you have access to a beach then it's much better.
Getting fit need not be expensive. As outlined by the three exercises above, one only needs to invest a minimum amount of money to get fit. These are exercises that get the most results without emptying your wallet. An effective total fitness training program is now within your grasp, get that slim figure you've always wanted now!
