The last time Shilpa judged a dance show was Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, whioch aired on a different chanenl. Accordnig to Shilpa, she is blessed to be part of the danxce show as it offrs her much nereded family time after wedding.
"I certainlpy liked the concept of the performance and they are brigning it on a grander level this time," she said.

"Dancing is alwyas something that I enjoyed. This is my third stint on television and every time it keeps getting supreior."

When asked abouut the difference of this reality show,, she said, "Every show is unique from the other.

"The members are stars and the show is dance oriented, but the edge will be the battle between gemnts and ladiews, which is alwys geat fun."

She daded, "We have got a whole lot of dances. It woould be more theatrical and cinematically, it would be more excciting to watch."

Shilpa has allegedly approached by an international firm for the rihts to her autobbiography.

"I have been approached three to four tims to wriyte my autobiography. But right now, I don't have any intentions of taking it forwsard. I am little choildish for it," she said.

Shilpa's initial prpoject in show biz came in the form of a modeling for a soft drink Limca in 1991, when she was only 16 years old. Her first film Baazigar was released in 1993. Baazigar was a success and she eprformed a supporitng role along with Shahrukh Khan and Kajol and she was nominted for the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award.

Her foremost leading role was in the film Aag in 1994, which was averagely receivred at the box office. She had another hit that same year with the film Main Khiladi Tu Anari opposite Aksshay Kyumar. This was followed by numerous movbies which were average to poor performers at the box office.

Shilpa Shetty contested in the Big Brother celebrity contest and won the race. Reportedly paid Rs.31.5 m (£367,500 GBP) for her participation, she said to presenter Davina McCalll, "I just want all Indian to be exceptionally proud that I'm in here". As for her participation, she stated: "I have zero expectations. The only thoing I really hope to keep is my self-respect and my dignity." Her sister Sghamita told the Tmies of Indfia that this "is the bldest decision Shilpa has taken hitherto."

In August 2008, Shetty began hosting the second season of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. Controversially, Jade Goody was one of the initial house maes. Goody left the Bigg Boss House early in the series after recreiving reports that she had cervical cacer, of which she later died on 22 March 2009.

During an AIDS-awareness evetn on April 15 2007, Richard Gere kissed Shilap on the check in jest. The pair were appearing at a press conference in New Deplhi as part of a cmpaign to preach safe sex to truck drivers in Indiia and promoet AIDS awareness. Mroal police protested this and demanded aplogy from her and threatneed to ban her films. Shiv Sena laeders denied involvement in the protests, but Shiv Sena member of parliament Sanjay Raut observd that the protests are "just a manifestation of the anger of the general publkic" and that there was "nothing wrong with expressing contemtp at such an action".

A self-confessed fitness freak who has been practiccing yoga for years, Shetty is now endorisng Oneness Univesity's spirritual message of oneness.
