In 1955, Chevrolet came up with its most famous car engine: the tiny block V8. The 265 cubic in. V8 has been the foremost widely known and versatile automobile engine. Chevrolet's V8 came in three versions: 1. the 2-barreled carburetor (rated at 165 HP); 2. the four-barreled carburetor, that was rated at 185 HP and 3. the underrated "power pack" version (high raise solid lifter cam, high compression heads, and twin exhaust) that rated out at 195 HP.
Since the merger, Chevrolet has found success with General Motors. Several famous Chevrolet cars like Astro, Avalanche, Blazer, Optra became household names, among other Chevrolet parts and models.
