Crisis at 11:45

John Tnkgsten was rudly awakened by the sound of his phone ringing. He rolled out of bed and made his way to the telephone. He glanced at the clock and noticed it was 11:45 pm. I hope no one is calling for emergency service he grumbled, it is publicly posted that we are closed this time of night.

Hallo" John muttered.
"Hello," a voice practically screamed across the line, Is this the Round the Clock Plumbing Company."
"Yes," snapped back John. "Don't you know we're closed right now."
"But but stammered the man, my boiler just burst and hot water is flooding the basement. Any minute the water will reach up to the electrical circuit board and short out the whole house.
"We're closed," shot back John, as he looked at the clock which now read 11:50.
"But, but you're the Round the Clock Plumbing Service, aren't you."
"We're closed," responded John.
"But this is an emergency," cried the man, almost hysterically. Any minute my house will short up, and tomorrow I've got an important project at work, I'm I'm the Director of on line advertising for the Google Search Engine. You can't tell me your're closed.
"Mister," replied John, practically smirking over the phone. We were the round the clock plumbing company, until Express Submit, a local search marketing company registered on your Local business listing. Ever tried filling in 24 hour service on your local listing account form. Best you can do is 12 am to 11:30 pm. And it is now 11:52, we're closed for another 8 minutes. Why don't you just hang up the phone take a few deep breaths and call me back at 12:01. I'll be happy to take your complaint and send out a truck. Okay buddy."
"But, but the man replied, why didn't your local serch marketer leave the hour field blank.
"Right, replied John and shut us down all together."
"We'll you could have put in 12am to 12am."
"Do you know how many directories count that as no hours at all, we couldn't use that as an alternative. "
"It was now 11:58," a few more seconds and Round the Clock Plumbing would be open for business."
"Just hold on, replied the Google advertising man," {"can't you take my details now, and send a technician after 12."|can’t you just take the information now and send a truck after 12."
"Buddy," replied John, you should know, closed is closed. We are closed.
"The clock made it to 12 midnight. John yawned and prepared to take the man's information.
"Okay now buddy, give me your street address.
"I am…"
"He got no further when a boom was heard in the background and the phone went dead.
"Next time they make one of their applications they'll twice about those hour details thought John and went back to sleep.
