They serve a number of functions in different areas such as ecology, history, medicine, perfume and food industries. But aside from their practical uses, their importance is most alive in us because of the symbols they carry. And while it seems many of us would not have realized, what would you think weddings would be like without flowers? Such speaks for the worth that they have in our lives.

Flowers abound everywhere, in almost any parts of the world. But different countries, owing to the different environmental conditions, may have certain kinds of flowers growing more in one place than in other places. Thailand, located in the Southeast Asia, with its moderate temperature and long rainy season offers optimum conditions for growing tropical flowers. Included in the list of the most popular flowers of Thailand are orchids, krachiaos and jasmine. Through the years, these flowers have been used in several occasions and traditions of the country. In addition, these flowers have always been used as gifts for loved ones in order for one to show love and appreciation to them. These orchids are one of the most widely known flowers to stir the interest and passion of people. They symbolize exotic beauty, refinement, thoughtfulness, mature charm and long life. In the Chinese culture, orchids represent many children. Krachiao, also known as Siam tulip pertains to the pinkish-purple wildflower which blossoms all together in one season per year. During this time, the province of Chaiyaphum in Thailand hosts a flower festival to give opportunity to travellers to witness the wonderful Siam tulip fields in a natural setting. It is believed that whoever stands in this field of Siam tulip would experience joy similar to what they would have while standing in heaven.

Another popular flower that can be found in Thailand is jasmine which has white petals and distinct, fragrant smell. This can be found all over Thailand and is widely used in the manufacture of perfumes and soaps. In Thailand, it symbolizes motherhood and as such is a popular gift on Mother's Day. It also is a great relief for stress and aids in improving people's health. It's a fact that these flowers can stand for other things depending on how people of different countries perceive them. Nonetheless, flowers are a natural blessing for people to take pleasure and inspiration from as they live each day. They also remain to be one of the best gifts you can give to people you hold dear in your hearts.
