GameStop is looking for a number of first-class workers

By: Greg Jackson

It has to be that time of year yet again, when everyone is out in the hunt for presents for their friends and relatives. It always looks as though that the go-to gift for some people is a gift card or some sort of shower set (here’s a tip to guys out there who suppose the bath sets are great ideas: They’re actually not; odds are whoever you’re buying the bath set for already has 20 of them).

Because of the season, GameStop is looking to hire 15,000 seasonal laborers. The positions are all part time and simply pay minimum wage, but the little bit of cash that the store is giving is an improvement on what some individuals are collecting right now: zilch.

GameStophas a program resembling this each year. It employs this a lot of seasonal staff beginning in the fall and their time is finished on December 24.

The biggest jump will be the “video game advisers” which are the associates in the store who are meant to assist customers choose video games. There will be 78% additional of these than there are right now. Honestly, I have never heard of a game adviser in my neighborhood GameStop. The most advice I have ever gotten on a video game is “That game is really cool.”

You can actually tell how much business the corporation expects over the holiday season for the reason that the 15,000 seasonal workers means that the employee base for the corporation goes up by nearly 50%.

This also goes along with more retail locations’ holiday plans. After all, most of the business that retail locations do is done during the holiday season.
