How to Choose Bridal Jewelry

By: Jessie Stone

A woman's wedding day is one of the most important occasions in her life. Some ladies have even dreamt about it when they were still teenagers. They dream every detail of it - the church, the reception, the theme and even the design of the dress - hoping that it will come true one day.
Your wedding day is a special moment in your life that you will cherish forever. With your special day fast approaching, you must give your best in making your dream wedding a reality with fabulous preparations such as the catering, a romantic venue and even the guest list.
However, that is not the only thing you should focus on. Remember that you, the bride, are the star for this event. Never forget that it is your responsibility to look stunning as well.
You may grace the aisle with an elegant gown and a beautiful hairstyle that goes perfectly with it, however, it is a must to consider the accessories that will accentuate your beauty.
But remember, wearing bridal jewelry and bridal hair accessories to go with your gown can make or break your look. Here are a few tips on how to choose bridal accessories.
Contrast simple with extravagant. If you have a simply gown, don't fret. Choose extravagant crystal bridal jewelry to contrast with the simplicity of your gown. However, do the exact opposite if your gown is already embellished with rhinestones. Don't overkill your look. Simple drop earrings, a thin chain bracelet or simple pearls are enough to complete your look.
Consider your hairstyle. If you're going for an up-do, the best bridal jewelry to go for are big earrings like chandelier earrings and dangling earrings. It will not be wise to wear these types of earrings if you will let your hair loose since they will not be seen. It will be best to wear stud earrings instead. The design of the birdal birdcage veils should be in accordance with your hair too.
Consider your gown, too. And it doesn't mean just the design, but the color and theme as well. If your gown has been adorned with pearls, you must choose your bridal jewelry with pearls as well.
Wear a family heirloom. This may not exactly be a must, but wearing a family heirloom or any piece of jewelry that has sentimental value to you will add meaning to your wedding. In fact, why not go all the way and center it for your entire ensemble?
Have significant pieces of jewelry. Wear a piece of jewelry to serve as your trademark makes your outfit more special. If you are known to wear heart-shaped necklaces, why not wear a heart-shaped necklace to accentuate your entire gown? Another idea is to have matching jewelries with your bridesmaid. With bridesmaid jewelry sets, you are putting meaning to you and your BFF's outfit.
Keep in mind, wearing too much bridal jewelry will make you look like a walking Christmas tree, but wearing no accessories will make your look bland. Sporting the right bridal jewelry is the key in making your look shine with beauty and elegance.
