How to Use Proxy?

There are four proxy servers which are commonly used; they are transparent proxy, anonymous proxy, distorting proxy and high anonymity proxy
After selecting the proxy service that you need, you have to do a simple configuration of the Web browser or Internet client software to use the proxy server. This simple web browser configuration differs for each search engine.
Here are some instructions to configure various browsers; this will be helpful for you to use an http proxy server:
Instructions for Internet Explorer 6.0:
• Click the tools menu, select the Internet Options, then select Connections tab, and finally click the LAN Settings.
• Under Proxy, select the Use a proxy server which will be right for your LAN check box.
• Type the IP address of the proxy in the Address box.
• Then type the port number in the Port box.
• Then click to select the Bypass proxy server this is because if do not want the proxy server to be applied when you connect to a local network system.
• Select OK to close the dialog box of the LAN Settings.
• Again click OK to close the final dialog box.

Instructions for Firefox 3.0

• Click the Tools Menu
• In that click Options tab
• Then select the Advanced Icon
• After that click the Network tab
• Click Settings under connection option
• select "Manual Proxy Configuration" or "Auto-Detect Proxy setting for this network" under Settings option
• If you are "Manual Proxy Configuration" type the HTTP proxy server’s IP address
• The type the port number of the HTTP proxy server
• Then finally click okay to close the dialog box

Instructions for Netscape 8.1

• First click the Tools Menu
• Then click Options
• Then click General
• After that choose Connection Settings...
• Check out the Manual Proxy Configuration
• Then type the IP address of the HTTP proxy server and type the port number of the port server into the Port field.
• Then finally click on the button with OK written on it to close
