People use charcoal to burn special ovens in their home during winter. This is a popular fuel used for the poorer areas, where people have the kind of stoves that charcoal can be burned in.

Charcoal is used for heating in many ways. It is used as a fuel in the automotive industry, and is also used to smelt iron and other metals in industrial environments. In some instances, charcoal is even used in the horticultural industry, as it can help to increase the richness of some soils! There are even some medicines that include charcoal, as it is good for ailments of the digestive system. Some smoking apparatuses such as hookahs use charcoal to enable the tobacco to burn more slowly and thoroughly.
