U.S. leaders continue to lie; Stock market tumbles

By: Bill Hadala

A Government who continues to lie will commit fraud against its own people. William Hadala

Mr. Obama made a speech at Carnegie Mellon University on June 2, 2010 declaring, "We have a choice as a nation. We can return to the failed economic policies of the past, or we can keep building a stronger future. We can go backward, or we can keep moving forward."

It is apparent the Obama administration is committed to a path that believes the government can solve the problems of the entire nation, through even bigger government. The current direction of America mixed with widespread corruption within the world of finance tied into dangerous stock market speculation may lead to a complete meltdown of the U.S. economy while taking down the entire global system. Las Vegas is a perfect example.

Recent speculation about an economic recovery was based on assumptions of job creation and increases in retail spending driven by financial analysts who are in support of the Obama administrations vision for America. This same type of speculation crashed the global housing market and drove oil prices over $100 a barrel last summer.

Speculation is a dangerous threat to financial stability. At what expense do the American people allow speculation, lobbyist and unions to control the nation? Is it really worth manipulating the economy at the expense of the majority for the benefit of the few?

On the surface speculation may appear to be great news for the U.S. economy based on potential new jobs and home ownership.

Yet, job data released on June 4, 2010 showed fewer-than-expected jobs in May with the majority of jobs being temporary positions for the U.S. Census. Home buying dropped dramatically for May after tax incentives expired at the end of April as equity continues to drop in certain areas such as Las Vegas.

Common sense must ask, whatever happened to focusing on the issues of the present moment, as the past is the past and the future has not happened?

The financial markets today are similar to a Las Vegas casino. Gambling starts out as entertainment yet can lead to addiction. The more money that is lost sometimes leads to all common sense being thrown away in an attempt to win everything back without any consideration of others. It is important to mention gambling is a form of entertainment and not everyone who gambles has an addiction.

Leaders of the United States have an addiction as the wealth and future of our society is being thrown away without any consideration for the masses considered by some to be a redistribution of wealth by misusing the terminology of social justice.

Speculation can also be considered white lies.

A white lie according to Wikipedia is defined, A white lie would cause only relatively minor discord if it were uncovered, and typically offers some benefit to the hearer.

The topic of Arizona's immigration law is a good example of a white lie by the current administration.

Line in the Sand is a report by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security about border security and immigration. Currently, there is very dangerous Latin American para-military drug cartels who have taken control of the Southwestern border. The U.S. can do very little with the current amount of resources deployed along the border and is the reason why Senator John McCain has requested more military troops along the border.

The white lie by the administration is to convince the public, especially immigrants who hold a huge voting power, the military will be used to arrest illegal’s. But the truth is the troops will be used to eliminate the cartels considered to be the U.S.’s greatest domestic threat who are not only trafficking drugs but are in control of who crosses the border i.e. illegal immigrants lead by "coyotes" employed by the cartels. The border is a violent environment versus a peaceful Ellis Island.

Last but not least, you can't blame all the above mentioned so-called powers to be with out mentioning the media. Thankfully the media’s failure to uncover the institutional wrongdoing that led to the global financial crisis will be discussed at the ninth annual international Globalization for the Common Good Conference at California State Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA.

The stock markets will only correct themselves when an honest political and financial environment emerges, powered by a people of integrity who aren't afraid to let their voices be heard.

The first step to recovery of any problem and/or addiction is self-realization there is a problem in the first place.
