This hearing disorder is the result of harm from the inner ears and the acoustice nerves which basically results in a person having nerve deafness. Inside the inner ear are two parts which is the vestibular system which is for balance, and the cochlea which is for hearing and inside the cochlea are hair cless, nerve endings, and even fluid all for responding to sound.

Aside from conduction and sensorineural, another cause of hearing disorder is the central nervous system and this is called central hearing loss. A person who has been inflicted with this type of hearing disorder cannot interpret, understand or filter and isolate many sounds at once. Unfortunately, even with all the advances of science and technology today, there is little and close to nothing that can be done to cure this problem.

A person can have their hearing affected by emotional and psychological reasons as well, this type of hearing loss is called functional hearing loss. People who have this condition just don't seem to respond, yet are able to hear perfectly well. One of the biggest worry with this disorder is not being able to correctly figuring out that this is the condition the person has and not something else.

Mixed hearing loss, by definition is simply having both sensorineural hearing loss and conductive hearing impairment in an ear. There is nothing different with mixed hearing loss, as conductive hearing disorder can be treated. But the problem with sensorineural loss is most likely permanent for now, until new advances in medicinal technology can find a cure for it.

As said, hearing loss is a very big issue as it really can affect anyone at any time and it can literally change a person?s lifestyle. Everyone should take heed of this warning, as once a person's hearing is gone, it may be gone forever. The best way is prevention, and this is through checkups and full body examinations.
