Round : A round (or oval) head gives players greater power but has a much smaller sweet spot. You will need to be able to properly hit the shuttle if you would like to be able to benefit from the power of a round racket.

Square : The square head sacrifices some of that power but has a larger surface area for those who have not yet achieved a high degree of accuracy.

Isometric - Most professionals are picking a badminton racket with an isometric head simply because it's shape produces a much larger sweet spot than any other racket. You hardly have to be concerned at all where you hit the shuttle and you are going to have power and control behind it.

One important factor to consider, no matter which badminton racket head model you select, will be the tension of the strings. That tension is what causes the shuttlecock to spring off the racket. The stronger the tension the more power you get however, you additionally sacrifice some control. For that cause, it is advised that novices rackets be strung at 19-20 pounds tension, intermediate rackets should be at twenty one to twenty-four lbs and hard hitters need to be strung at twenty five or even more lbs.

Another factor that you need to keep in mind is the weight of the racket. The heavier your racket the more power you can get from it. However badminton demands a lot of wrist use. And so when getting your racket make for sure you can handle the weight.
