spin]Google Local Review Warns Buyers About Tropical Chevrolet, Miami| Buyers Beware, Tropical Chevrolet of Miami Provides Poor Service and Uses Deceptive Practices}

By: Tony Jacobs

Tony Jacobs of Plantation, Florida learned from experience how important it is to read online reviews about a company before using their services. Mr. Jacobs went to the Tropical Auto Group of Miami, Florida, a car dealership located at 8880 Biscayne Blvd Miami, FL 33138-3343 Phone: 1-866-791-4531.to buy a Chevrolet Express Van 2008. The car was GM used certified, which means that it had passed a 117 point inspection, bumper to bumper, which meant the car was in perfect running order and "worry free." Yet 2 days after he purchased the van , he noticed that the gear shift wasn't working properly, and the brakes were not in proper working condition either.

Believing that the car guarantee would be honored, Mr. Jacobs took the van back to Tropical Auto, but he was shocked at the service they gave him. While the technician on duty admitted the transmission didn't work, he casually mentioned that the guy who fixes transmissions would be gone for a month or two. Then Mr. Jacobs went to the manager, Mark Diaz, who laughed at him in the presence of customers. Finally Mr. Jacobs tried contacting the owner Ian Wildstein, who refused to return his calls.

It is unfortunate that Mr. Jacobs had not read previous reviews about the company before he went to buy his van. Because he wasn't the only person who had such outrageous treatment at the Chevrolet dealership. Every one of the Google Local reviews has extremely negative things to say about Tropical Chevrolet.

Christine in Oct. 2009 said: "Every review you read here is true. These guys are scammers, they lie and create fear in you to sell you brakes and other services you don't need. You can't complain because the manager won't return your calls or attempts for help. RUN RUN RUN from this dealership"

Firehawk in August of 2009 said that: "The absolute WORST car dealership I have ever been to in my life. They are near my house, so we have (unfortunately) gone there a few times.. Their service department is beyond incompetent and deceptive."

A review in 2008 simply said "BUYER BEWARE!!!." And a review in 2007 said "The service provided at this dealership is beyond poor. I dropped my car off for its' first service check and ended up waiting almost six hours. THIS WAS FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I have no idea what happened but these guys are retarded, all of ."

With one minor exception, every one of the online reviews paints the picture of a company with abysmal service, and employees who lie and employ tactics of fear and deception to avoid giving customers proper service. Mr. Jacobs said he would have to spend $5,000 dollars to fix the transmission, and the company has made no effort to right the problem. According to Mr. Jacobs the owners are liars and should be closed down. He warned anyone in the market for a used GM car to stay away from Tropical Chevrolet of Miami.
